About Bleik Whale Watching

A guide for your trip out to the whales

Bleik Whale Watching is an independent guide for everyone planning to see whales and seabirds off Andøya in Northern Norway. Here you will find how the trips from Bleik and Andenes compare, how whale watching here differs from Tromsø and Skjervøy, which months suit which trip, why sperm whales come so close to this coast, what to know about the puffins of Bleiksøya, how to reach Andøya and what to pack.

The site is available in English and five additional languages. It is written first in English.

How we research

Every number on our pages comes from a source that we link to at the bottom of the page: mostly Norwegian public bodies and research institutes such as the Institute of Marine Research, Store norske leksikon, Lovdata, the County Governor of Nordland, NAMMCO and the official tourist board Visit Vesterålen, with climate averages from NOAA. Information about individual tours comes from their listings on GetYourGuide.

Calm seas cannot be ordered, and whales are wild animals. Listings also differ in boat size, how long they last and what they include. That is why we tell you plainly what a listing states and what it leaves open.

How we make money

Bleik Whale Watching is funded through the GetYourGuide affiliate program. When you book through one of our links, we receive a commission; your price remains the same. There are no advertising banners here, and we do not sell your data.

Who is behind it
